Gender equality

School of Equal Possibilities was created in 2000 with the purpose of lobbying of Law on equal rights and possibilities for men and women. Today the separations of SHRV work in 19 regions of Ukraine. During all period organization accepted the most active voice in forming and realization of gendernoy policy, development of standards of gendernogo equality, indicators of his measuring, to development of plans of actions and government programs in the field of gendernogo reformation of Ukrainian society.

In an order to assist acceptance in Ukraine of gendernogo law, in 2004-2005 Shkola Equal Vomozhnostey together with Ministry in matters of monogynopaedium and young people carried out the two-year program of Advice of Europe at support of Evrokomissii according to statement of gendernogo equality.

Within the framework of this program by the experts of Advice of Europe examination of gendernykh bills, being in parliament of Ukraine was conducted, single more perfect project Zakona "O is developed claim of equal rights and possibilities of women and men", and also the plan of actions is developed according to statement of gendernogo equality on national and regional levels. Three seminars were conducted with participation the experts of Advice of Europe for state and local public agents, public and scientific organizations.

Realization of this program in a great deal helped to pass in 2005 a gendernyy Act, which went into effect in January, 2006 (after 7 years of lobbying).
At support of the Canadian-Ukrainian gendernogo fund School of Equal Possibilities in the same period was carried out also wide educational project "Gendernoe education - to the regions of Ukraine", as a result of which gendernye knowledges through seminars and trainings were widespread in all areas of Ukraine.In seminars and local public agents, leaders of regional structures, took part in a final nauchno-prakticheskoy conference, NUO (ungovernmental organizations), representatives of mass medias.

The experts of School participated in development of document of "Purpose of Development of Millennium: Ukraine", in particular in making of indicators of gendernogo equality. And parallell propagandized this document in all regions of Ukraine.

A manual is "normative-methodical bases of gendernykh transformations", published jointly with Ministry in matters of monogynopaedium and young people in 2004 and reprinted in 2005, contains materials of the European conferences of ministers on questions of equality of men and women, recommendation on providing of gendernogo equality, manual on questions of national mechanisms between women and men, to drafting of plan of actions and realization of gendernogo analysis.

On the basis of gendernogo analysis subsequent development of the Government program of claim of gendernogo equality was carried out in Ukrainian society on 2006-2010 and Plan of measures on its realization.

One of major constituents of claim of standards of gendernogo equality is overcoming of gendernogo violence in all his displays and forms.

Today by School of Equal Possibilities, at support of YUNIFEM and at partnership of Ministry in matters of monogynopaedium, young people and sport, the two-year project of counteraction violence is carried out in regard to women.Within the framework of project creation of regional and national mechanisms of warning of gendernogo violence and mechanisms of implementation of Laws of Ukraine of "O is foreseen claim of equal rights and possibilities of women and men" and "About warning of violence in a monogynopaedium". A methodical manual will be also geared-up on application of laws the representatives of different struktu.
